#Autodesk sign in issues update#
In Clarity 2021.1, we've recently put out a host update and task update to assist with this issue (while admittedly not quite getting to the root cause). The better approach seems to be to identify a "good" version, and stick with it for as long as possible.Ĭontact our support department for our unofficial list of "good" versions (although we've started keeping the list officially below).
Autodesk frequently releases Desktop Connector updates, and some recent versions have exhibited this issue. However, it seems that is not the best answer. We had been recommending that customers keep their Desktop Connector and AdSSO Components always super-updated. you sigh and move on) - but it's very visible to Clarity Task Servers, who are suddenly unable to process tasks, and have limited ability to re-sign in. This may not be visible to regular users (who among us has not been prompted an extra time per day to "sign in again". We've identified two components that - if they are not in harmony with each other can step on each other and lose the token instantly: Desktop Connector and the Autodesk AdSSO Component. Here's the challenge - there are now a wide variety of Autodesk products that are all reading, writing and updating that token, potentially at the same time. So if Desktop Connector is working perfectly, you should be able to stay logged in indefinitely. With Desktop Connector installed - Desktop Connector will, approximately once per day, extend the token by another day. However - with the advent of Autodesk Desktop Connector, this changed. So it should only be necessary to sign in once every 14 days.
The token is shared between all Autodesk products on a particular machine. We'd like to review some basic information about the problem and then talk about some recent improvements on our side: When viewing clash issues we also provide a direct link out to the issue details in Docs or directly in the Model Coordination viewer, giving you the multi-model context of that issue and highlighting any clashes.Many of our customers have encountered challenges with maintaining the Autodesk Login Token, which keeps your Clarity Task Server signed in to Revit as a particular user. With our new Go Online feature, seamlessly link out to different areas of BIM 360. Seamlessly transition from desktop to web For example, you may have a copy of a model in a coordination space or a shared folder. Using the Load Issues dialog, users can load issues from other copies of the same model created as part of the design collaboration or model coordination process.
We also understand you may have multiple copies of the same model in different folders, depending on your workflow. Once the issue is resolved, change the issue status to ‘closed’ and see this reflected in BIM 360. When viewing an issue, the object the pushpin is placed on is highlighted, enabling users to jump into the view and immediately start to make changes. When selecting an issue in the side panel we automatically load the associated view and zoom in to the pushpin with the correct camera position. Issues are automatically loaded when the add-in is opened, enabling Revit users to view all the issues assigned to their model. The Revit Issue Add-in visualises 3D BIM 360 (and Autodesk Construction Cloud) issues directly in the authoring application. With the Revit Issues Add-in, Revit users can open, edit, comment on, and resolve issues created from any BIM 360 client, including Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, Navisworks and Document Management.Įasy access to BIM 360 issues and resolution workflow within the Revit interface Nearly a year later and we are already onto Version 3!
